Those who are looking for an answer to the question «How many guests in a hotel room?» often ask the following questions:

❔ How many guests per hotel room?

Although some hotels do offer cots, the maximum capacity of a room should never exceed four adults. This is because of fire codes and insurance policies. Having too many guests could obstruct or congest the room’s primary egress. More importantly, the hotel needs to be accountable for all its guests.

❔ 140 guests how many hotel room blocks?

You should reserve hotel room blocks with at least two hotels if you're having a destination wedding with a lot of out-of-town guests, you're getting married at a hotel with exceptionally pricey rooms or you have a larger-than-average guest list (more than 140).

A standard hotel room is normally for 2 persons. If you book for any type of suite (or apartment) than it depends you can be staying with upto 4 to 6 persons again depennding on the size and maximum persons allowed in that particular room/ suite. The maximum occupants allowed is mostly mentioned once you book or about to book online.

But yes, hotels do make more money if there are more people in the room. I don’t have much of an issue with that personally. Having, let’s say, a 3rd or 4th person in there potentially means more towels to wash, more beds to make, more water being used in the shower and toilet, more people eating the free breakfast (if available), etc. And, of course, the “extra” people are receiving the same main amenity as the 1st and 2nd people…a bed for the night. In the event of an emergency

Re: Hotel Policies - # of people you can accomadate in a room. 9 years ago. Save. 1 person booking a hotel room that is suitable for 2 people and taking that 2nd person is NOT the same as 5 people staying in a room that is only suitable for 4.

With 2 in the room it;s 100 each. 4 in a room that costs 4 or 500 is about the same and you're crammed 4 or 5 to a room. I'm not one of the hotel morality police who usually get bent about someone having an extra person in the room, but I probably don't want to be next door to the 5 partying men either.

Just because there’s a king bed in a room, doesn’t mean you can invite 15 people to stay. Occupancy limitations make this a liability for the hotel. Many hotels will charge more for extra guests (to a certain limit) or allow for you to add a cot to a room with an odd number of people. Here are some room types determined by bed availability.

Are you wondering if I can have one guest, then can I have visitors in a hotel room? Well, it is also likely for the hotel to charge you extra if you bring an entire squad with you to your hotel room. Even if you instruct your guests to sneak in the establishment one by one, the hotel will surely find out about it sooner or later.

IF the terms of rental specify “max 2 adults or 1 adult and 1 child” or some such, they might “care” but probably won’t DO anything. Most rental terms are “maximum 4 people,” and they leave it at that. If FIVE people actually stay, 99% of the time no one will say a word unless you make excessive noise or such.
